Dr. E. Shanika Esparaz is a renowned ophthalmologist in Cleveland, providing clients with state-of-the-art care in the treatment of retina disease, cataracts, and glaucoma. Over the past few years, insurance companies began limiting the time she could spend with each patient, compromising her commitment to delivering personalized care to everyone who walked through her doors. This was especially frustrating for Dr. Esparaz who believes in the power of lifestyle medicine in the prevention and treatment of eye disease.
In 2022, Dr. Esparaz launched Envision Ophthalmology & Wellness, a membership-based, direct patient care practice that focused on both of her specialties. Educating new and potential patients on the benefits of direct pay was a critical aspect to keep in mind for the ZH sites team as most individuals are still unfamiliar with this new healthcare model. ZH sites began her website project by developing the Envision brand through logos, taglines, and other design elements that highlighted Dr. Esparaz’s expertise and authenticity.
Because many of Dr. Esparaz’s patients are older, we wanted to make sure the website was welcoming and user-friendly so they can quickly find the information they need. We focused especially on spotlighting the benefits and affordability of direct patient care.
The new Envision Ophthalmology & Wellness site captures Dr. Esparaz’s caring personality and emphasizes her extensive experience. Unlike many ophthalmology websites that tend to overwhelm visitors with information, the Envision site’s warm colors, custom photos, and conversational tone erase any intimidation and ensure potential patients that Dr. Esparaz is a provider who will build a relationship with them.
